Trademark strategies
Our advice on strategic and financial issues in respect of the development and establishment of national and international trademark portfolios is characterised by our business insight and focus on our clients' commercial needs and objects.
Application for and registration of trademarks
Our trademark investigations include specific advice on the suitability of the trademark for registration in accordance with statutory requirements and other parties' rights, on where to register the trademark geographically and the goods and services to be covered by the regis-tration.
We also assess whether the trademark can be registered as a company name and a domain name.
Our trademark department handles all procedures and formalities relating to the registration and maintenance of trademarks nationally and internationally, including trademark monitor-ing and the transfer of trademarks.
All our clients are offered direct access to our trademark database, enabling them to get a quick overview of their trademark portfolio for free (number of trademarks, classes, dates of renewal etc).
We represent our clients in relation to the Danish authorities (the Danish Patent and Trade-mark Office), the EU (OHIM) and internationally (WIPO).
Enforcement
We provide advice on how our clients' trademark rights are best protected and enforced and we have unrivalled experience in trademark litigation, including litigation relating to parallel imports of pharmaceuticals.
Our attorneys have the right to appear before all relevant courts of law in Denmark and at EU level. We also assist our clients with infringements abroad through our international network of trademark advisors.
Trademark department
In addition to our attorneys who are widely experienced in trademark law, our trademark department also consists of advisors who have previously worked for patent and trademark agencies as well as paralegals and trademark assistants.
