Agreements and contracts

The Corporate/Commercial lawyers have optimal competence within contract law based on Danish law and practice. However, growing internationalisation of Danish contract law and inspiration from foreign case law, in particular American and Anglo-Saxon law, is increasingly in evidence in the daily work.

The Corporate/Commercial lawyers will assist their clients in connection with the conclusion of all types of contracts, including in areas not covered by any of Plesner's other fields of expertise.

These contract areas are innumerable but, among other, include outsourcing, leasing and rent, franchising, public contracts, purchase and sale, agency and distribution, power of attorney and commission, advice and service.

We often work across borders, and even if we do not advise on the understanding of other countries' rules of law it is important to have knowledge of foreign law and the legal and commercial structure of the relevant country in order to understand the elements of an international contract and to ensure its correct application. This also applies to the conclusion of agreements with undertakings having a foreign cultural background.

We endeavour to obtain and maintain necessary knowledge through practice and relevant training.

Many agreements are based on internationally recognised or established forms or standards from, among others, Uncitral, Ogalime, NL, ICC etc. The Corporate/Commercial lawyers advise on the application of such rules of law and assist in connection with international business transactions.
